London Design Week 2007: 100% Light

Lighting is always a huge part of any design show, so it is no wonder that 100% Light is an important section at Earls Court. Well-designed lighting is truly art and we have several excellent examples of this. Winnie Liu's White Chandelier is like a massive charm bracelet of seemingly random objects, bound by their common colour. Freedom of Creation has new offerings, as does Tom Dixon, of course, Creative Director of the show. Demelza Hill (who will be interning chez Tom Dixon for the next 3 months) presents a creative foam shade that can be unzipped to reveal more, or less, light. The hiKARI light by Rasmus Fenhann  is clearly Japanese-inspired and Dominic Bromley's Shoal is simply stunning. More photos after the jump, including the latest from Innermost  and Ed Swan.
